You serve to earn it; you give to keep it

A hot debate with my friends for hours has given rise to this new blog.. Robert Frost has once said, "Two roads diverged in a wood, and I - I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference. ".. But, I wonder, that at our age, we can only select the roads, and can comment about how important our past actions were, only when we grow older... so, I dedicate my post about selecting the road to begin our journey ...
There are 4 phases of life, starting with the basic needs like, food, shelter, clothes, then comes, another need, money and luxury.. After you have lot of money, you aspire, for fame, and once you have all of these, the last phase is Self- actualisation, where great names like Bill gates, Steve Jobs belong ...
For us, the current phase is to earn money, and lead a luxurious life ... For that, we need to learn a lot, and reach the acme of educational standards, so that we acquire the skills of understanding current problems, and solving them.. But, is that all ?? .. Alas, when people get those standards, they forget that they need to return back to the society from where they have come from.. they are the only one who have broadened their outlook to such a level, that they can help out the people in their surroundings and their nations ... They are the ones who can bring positive reforms and earn respect in everyone's eyes....
Unfortunately, with money comes arrogancy, and self-materialism... People often think about themselves, hardly bother about others ... so, do we want to become like those ? its the time for us to chose that road such that after years and years, we should say, that "I took the road less travelled by, and that has made all the difference " ...
I hope, we should listen to our hearts, and ask ourselves, that do we want to run after money, or do, we want to achieve the highest possible standards, and then, help others in learning that, and earn their respect ?? the choice is yours...the road is to be taken by you.. In this way, our long debate ended over this last question:"what do you think about this question from your perspective, your wits, your viewpoint " ...

Feelings about going abroad !

This blog should make you realize what are you actually missing when you leave your country and go abroad and settle down there. Whenever, we get chances to go abroad, we feel so proud. We feel like as if we are at top of moon..at that moment, how happy we are !! we start dreaming about money, perks, the posh life-styles, easy and comfortable living ... and, then, we leave our home country, and get ourselves adapted to such lifestyles, even if we may not like it, but try harder to get accustomed to it.. we try to learn their language, ape their gestures, their clothes, try to eat food which we we don't even love.. But, can't we make them learn our way of living.. It may be true that their living standards are better than us, but I would rather suggest to learn from them, and not blindly follow them..

I would say that its my personal opinion in this regard, and also, lot of people do think in the same way, but just don't have the courage to accept that. I had the opportunity twice in my life to go for internships to both USA, and Europe, the most popular destinations... I learnt a lot from these experiences that, a person can gain only materialistic comfort here, but would be bogged down by moral responsibilities, or would try to ape that dude style. For instance, when you goto Germany, you find that people speak in German even if they know English. In France , people consider their lifestyles better than English people... Moreover, look at these countries:: they are one of the developed nations of the world !!

How do you think, these countries made up to such levels ? How can a country like Germany which was torned apart after World War II, is now, a country with highest educational standards....A country like, Switzerland which had earlier only flora and fauna has now, the highest noble prize winners per capita.. Its because the people had believed in what they were doing.. They had this vision, and now have made it..... and now, see the plight, Indians are fighting to acquire some short term internships, and degrees from these universities..

I think, if you want to visit Foreign lands for getting experiences, its much helpful to know what's outside your own well... I would say, "Never be a frog confined to your own well" .. But,a frog sleeps well only in his own home, where he feels a homely satisfaction... I think, when you work in your land, even if you get less comforts, but you gain some values, which otherwise would have been lost and really cannot be described in words.... you would have to empathize with me to understand those lost morals..
